Website builds

A site built to load fast, read well on a phone, and get found.

A lot of small businesses in South Africa either have no website at all, or one that was built years ago, hasn't been touched since, and wasn't built with search or mobile in mind.

Neither gets you found. A site only earns its keep if it loads quickly, reads well on the phone most people are actually using, and says clearly what you do and where you are.

What's included

How it works.

01

Brief

A call or written brief covering the pages you need, what content you already have, and what "done" looks like for you.

02

Structure

A sitemap and page layout agreed before any design work starts, so there are no surprises later in the build.

03

Build

Pages built and prerendered to static HTML, tested against real phones and slow connections, not just a desktop browser.

04

Content

Your copy and images go in. Placeholder text never ships. If content isn't ready, the launch date moves rather than the site going out unfinished.

05

Launch

DNS pointed at the new site, everything goes live, and any existing indexed pages are checked so search rankings aren't lost in the move.

What it costs

Pricing.

From R5,000 once-off

Final number depends on page count and whether content is ready. Confirmed before any work starts.

What's not included

Kept out on purpose.

Scope creep is how a fixed quote turns into a fight. Here's what sits outside this service.

  • Ongoing edits after launch, that's what a care plan is for
  • Stock photography or copywriting, unless agreed upfront
  • E-commerce or payment integration, which is quoted separately

Questions

Before you ask.

How long does a build take?

Typically two to four weeks from brief to launch, depending on how much content is ready when we start.

Do I need to have my copy and images ready?

Not necessarily upfront, but the timeline depends on when I get them. The build can start on structure before content is final.

What if I already have a domain and hosting?

I can build on what you have, or help you move to better hosting if what you have is causing problems.

Will it work properly on mobile?

Yes. Mobile is treated as the primary device people will use, not an afterthought fitted in at the end.

Can I update the site myself afterwards?

Small text and image changes, yes, if that's agreed at build time. Larger changes usually go through a care plan.

What happens after launch?

Nothing automatically. A care plan is optional, not required. The site is yours either way.
